Bull's
Island Recreation Area is comprised of a portion of a small
forested island surrounded by the Delaware River and the Delaware
& Raritan Canal. The trail along the towpath of the canal
reveals a lowland floodplain forest dominated by sycamore, silver
maple and tulip poplar. Several rare plant species are found
in this natural area. Scenes along our routes will be both beautiful
and relaxing.
Riders may choose either the 10 or 20 mile routes
along the towpath. If you are not up to riding 10 miles, that
is OK! Ride as much or as little as you choose of either route.
Water and refreshment stops will be available along the way.
After your ride, you are welcome to join us for a picnic or
stroll across the foot bridge for more spectacular views of
the river.
Both routes will first travel south toward
Praisville Mill & Lock, then reverse and ride north to
the Kingwood boat launch area. No public roads will be crossed
or be part of either route.
All riders must wear helmets. Riders under 16 must be accompanied
by an adult. Riders under 18 must have parental signature.
